As a business writing professional, I have two obligations to any client, any project, or any team where I’m assigned. First and foremost, I must produce writing that works for you. This involves much more than simply writing according to the assignment. I must also bring my expertise in the field to the table, and discuss the best way to deliver your message, even if it’s not what you originally had in mind.
Once you and I hammer down the message, we’ll then discuss the often-several ways we can deliver that message most effectively. As a client, you may already have a good idea about how you want to communicate that message. However, as a professional trained specifically to deliver that message, my insight is at your disposal. Together we will determine the most effective strategy to deliver your message to the people most likely to respond to it.
You will know before the end of our first meeting exactly how I intend to approach your project, and when you can expect a first and final draft.
I work well incorporated into a team. If geography makes this impossible, I am fully capable of providing electronic copy via E-mail to your team. I have the experience and the equipment to conduct telephone, E-mail, and face-to-face interviews. I can provide copy in MS Word for either Mac or PC, but cannot format my work directly to print or web without being teamed with a graphic artist.
